Jeffrey S. Ross, MD

Dr. Jeffrey Ross graduated first in class from the Medical College of Ohio at Toledo in 1982, completed his radiology residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, and his neuroradiologic fellowship at University Hospitals of Cleveland. Dr. Ross was Assistant Professor of Radiology at University Hospitals until 1989, when he became a staff neuroradiologist at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Subsequently he became Professor of Radiology at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. Now Dr. Ross works in Southwest Neuro-Imaging at the Barrow Neurological Institute of St. Joseph Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. He has given over 160 postgraduate talks covering a wide variety of neuroradiologic imaging topics, from spinal disc disease to brain tumors and spectroscopy. In addition, he has given over 70 scientific lectures, including presentations to residents, fellows, and staff in a variety of venues. Dr. Ross has authored or co-authored 11 books and over 30 book chapters. His research achievements include over 120 oral presentations at national meetings, 16 scientific exhibits, and over 90 peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Ross has held a broad spectrum of service and organizational-related responsibilities at the national level. He is currently an active reviewer for 6 specialty journals and serves as a senior editor for American Journal of Neuroradiology. He has had the privilege of serving as founding member and first President of the American Society of Spine Radiology, now an integral component of the American Society of Neuroradiology. He is also past president of the Eastern Neuroradiologic Society, and was a fellow of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM).
