Roya Sohaey, MD

Dr. Roya Sohaey earned both her undergraduate and medical degrees from Northwestern University in Chicago, IL. She completed a transitional internship at West Suburban Hospital, radiology residency at Northwestern University, and ultrasound fellowship training at Swedish Hospital in Seattle, WA. She then joined the faculty at the University of Utah. During her time there, she worked almost exclusively in ultrasound with Dr. Paula Woodward and Dr. Anne Kennedy and co-authored the Introduction to Ultrasound textbook. She then migrated back to the Midwest for a stint in private practice in Holland, Michigan, with a clinical focus in women’s imaging including mammography. In 2000, Dr. Sohaey returned to the west and academics by accepting a position at Oregon Health and Science University. She currently enjoys an academic appointment as Professor in both the departments of Diagnostic Radiology and Obstetrics and Gynecology at OHSU. She is Director of Ultrasound, and her area of research and clinical focus is in fetal imaging.
