Tan-Lucien H. Mohammed, MD, FCCP

Tan-Lucien H. Mohammed, MD, FCCP, is a Staff Radiologist in the Section of Thoracic Imaging at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. He also serves as the Program Director of the Diagnostic Radiology Residency and the Director of the Thoracic Imaging Fellowship Program. Dr. Mohammed focuses his expertise on Cardiothoracic Imaging and Radiology Education. A graduate of Meharry Medical College, he completed his Transitional (Internship) Year in Internal Medicine at Michigan State University–Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies. Dr. Mohammed is an alumnus of both the Nuclear Medicine and Diagnostic Radiology Residencies at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He also completed a Thoracic Imaging Fellowship at the University of Maryland Medical Center. Dr. “Mo” is an active member of the American College of Radiology (ACR), the American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS), the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), the Society of Thoracic Radiology (STR), the American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP), and the Association of Program Directors in Radiology (APDR). He currently serves as a member of the Education Committee of the APDR, a Faculty Advisor for the American Alliance of Chief Residents in Radiology [A3CR2] of the Association of University Radiologists, and the ACR Appropriateness Criteria Expert Panel on Thoracic Imaging. Dr. Mohammed has authored (co-authored) book chapters, peer-reviewed journal articles, scientific educational materials for the internet, as well as a number of electronic media for Thoracic Imaging. Tan-Lucien willingly serves as a reviewer for the Journal of Thoracic Imaging, AJR, Radiology, and the Cleveland Clinic Journal of Medicine. As an intern, Dr. Mohammed received the Golden Apple Clinical Instructor Award. The Cleveland Clinic Radiology Residents presented him with the Dr. Norman M. Glazer Award for Excellence in Teaching in Diagnostic Radiology in 2005, 2006, and 2009.
