Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I continue to use the previous version of RADPrimer?
You will have overlapping access to the prior version of RADPrimer until August 30th. From the login page, you can log directly into the new version of RADPrimer. A link to the previous version of RADPrimer is also available on the login page. Any questions residents took in the previous version of RADPrimer were tracked until July 1st, after which time, questions and learning activities will be tracked in the new version.
  • Will I be able to make assignments?
The new RADPrimer has been structured so resident activity is self-directed. We suggest that you add RADPrimer lessons to your required or recommended reading list.
  • What information will transfer from the existing RADPrimer to the new version?
Questions residents have viewed in the prior version of RADPrimer until July 1st will be flagged so that they can continue to create quizzes with those questions that are new to them.
  • Where do RADPrimer case challenges come from?
Case challenges are written by our renowned radiologist authoring teams located all over the world.
  • How is RADPrimer different from STATdx?
STATdx is designed for clinical decision support with over 6,000 diagnoses. RADPrimer has a smaller expert-selected curriculum with related assessments.
  • How many questions are in the system?
RADPrimer has over 7,000 questions covering diagnosis, differential diagnosis, anatomy, imaging findings, management, physics, and safety.
  • What kinds of questions are in RADPrimer?
RADPrimer’s questions primarily focus on diagnosis. But we are expanding these questions to include anatomy, imaging findings, procedures, differentials, safety, physics, and appropriateness criteria.
  • How do you select cases for RADPrimer?
Our authors cover the globe and select exemplary cases for the teaching point they are making within RADPrimer.
  • Can I use RADPrimer on my mobile device?
Yes. RADPrimer is optimized for access on an iPad® and other tablet devices. However, because RADPrimer is a complete radiology curriculum, it is not optimized for small devices, such as phones.
  • What will happen to assignments I’ve made?
The new version of RADPrimer will not support previously created quizzes. The reason for this is because the pre-built quizzes were such a hit, our author team designed a whole pre-built curriculum which includes extensive tests on every topic. The previous version of RADPrimer will be available (via a link on the log in page) for a short time after the update for users to close out and download any reports for the 2012-2013 academic year.
  • Can I take quizzes the same way residents can?
From within the faculty module, a faculty member may review all learning objectives, reading material, practice questions, and test questions for every lesson. When faculty review questions, the questions appear in an answered state and show answer justifications, captions, and teaching points within each question.
  • How many people can access the faculty module?
All of your faculty and administrative staff can have access to the faculty module.
  • Will RADPrimer prepare my residents for the Core Exam?
